Two Years Ago, Yesterday

Happy 2nd Anniversary!  I love you Ryan!

To celebrate this year, we went to Park City for a couple days and rode the Xtreme Zipline at the Olympic venues and enjoyed riding the Heber Creeper train.

Can you see me?  I'm pretty tiny.

What a rush!

Zoo Day

We had a zoo day.  Here are some pictures of our fun.

Our Jumper:

I'm sorry if it's sideways.  I haven't figured out how to fix that.

Clamped Tight; No Food Thanks

We went for a 6 month check a couple weeks ago:  height: 29 1/4 inches, weight: 20 lbs, 13 0z.  We bought him a bigger car seat.

We've started feeding Andrew cereal and some baby foods.  He prefers Barley cereal over rice or oatmeal and of the 4 foods he's tried so far (sweet potatoes, green beans, squash and applesauce), applesauce is on the top of his dislike list.  He has decided that feeding him is meant to be a challenge.  As soon as he sees food on the spoon he purses his lips and clamps his jaw and refuses to open up.  We've had to get creative.  We let him play with some toys while in the high chair.  The moment he opens up to suck on or lick a toy, the spoon goes in.  We have to be fast though.  He's a quick learner.  If you get the spoon in once while he's playing with a toy, that toy goes overboard and he won't play with again; almost as if the toy betrayed him.

He's 7 months old today and in celebration (or something) his 4th tooth broke through the gum this morning.  Poor dude has the cough and goopy nose again.  He refuses to allow me to use oragel to help him feel better.  He clamps his jaw.  The only way I can even get tylenol in is to squish his cheeks together and even then, the tip of the syringe barely fits between the gums.  Silly boy.

Ryan had a chance to go four-wheeling with some friends last weekend.  6 hours and many a mud puddle later they returned covered from head to toe in mud and grinning from ear to ear.  They had a riot and I'm glad.  Ryan deserved to have a day of fun.  Ryan had a birthday two weeks ago.  He let Andrew help him open his presents.  Who knew paper was such a great toy?  Happy Birthday!
